SpaceX CRS-9, also known as SpX-9, was a Commercial Resupply Service mission to the International Space Station (ISS) which launched on July 18 2016. The mission was contracted by NASA and operated by SpaceX using the new Dragon capsule.

The cargo was successfully carried aboard SpaceX's Falcon 9 and included a Micro-gRx florescence polarization test. The experiment was performed by Astronaut Kate Rubins aboard the ISS and would be the precursor to the propel Micro-gRx into the fabrication of “lab on chip” technology.
